ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed 8,500 food baskets to families of the sick and bereaved in Yemen’s Aden governorate on Sunday.

The baskets weighed 629 tons, and are part of a project to alleviate suffering across Yemen.

The project is designed to help people suffering from specific illnesses, those with special needs and the families of martyrs. It aims to distribute 102,170 food baskets in several Yemeni governorates.

Earlier, a team in Aden met to discuss the progress of KSRelief-funded Livelihood Improvement Project being implemented in Yemen, and presented its recommendations.

The project manager, Hadi Ahmed Bajaber, spoke about the project’s achievements, noting that “the team is working to expand the existing project.”

He thanked KSRelief and the Kingdom for standing by the Yemeni people.

The project aims to provide job opportunities and improve infrastructure in targeted governorates across the country.
